PORTLAND, Ore., August 30, 2017 – Exterro ® Inc., the preferred provider of software specifically designed for in-house legal and IT teams at Global 2000 and AmLaw 200 organizations, in partnership with Association of E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), EDRM Duke Law, Georgetown Law CLE, Legal Technology Professionals Institute (LTPI), and University of Florida Levin College of Law today announced the third annual E-Discovery Day on December 1, 2017.
On December 1, 2017, the e-discovery industry will come together to celebrate e-discovery’s vital role in the legal process. E-Discovery Day is an industry wide, vendor neutral celebration that includes online webinars, CLE opportunities, white papers, e-books, infographics and in-person educational, networking, and social events. In 2016, the second annual E-Discovery Day included 12 educational webinars, seven in-person events, and more than 1700 participants.
“Mark your calendars for December 1, as it’s going to be a great day of e-discovery education and celebration. In today’s digital world, e-discovery not only impacts legal risk but also increasingly influences a company’s bottom line. With that in mind, E-Discovery day brings together a diverse set of professionals to share experiences, discuss key trends and offer best practices over a variety of mediums with the goal of elevating e-discovery awareness and expertise,” said Bill Piwonka, CMO, Exterro.
An E-Discovery Day newsletter has been created for people interested in staying up to date on all the E-Discovery Day activities. In addition, e-discoveryday.com has information for companies or organizations seeking to become a sponsor or host their own E-Discovery Day event.
“E-Discovery Day does such a good job of spreading awareness and knowledge of e-discovery, emerging technologies, case law, and resources that can help the legal profession continue to adopt and refine its use of e-discovery tools. EDRM is pleased to be part of the day’s events and to support and partner with Exterro in creating a forum for dialogue and learning,” said James Waldron, Director, EDRM, Center for Judicial Studies at Duke Law.
“ACEDS members will gather in person and virtually to connect with their e-discovery communities, learn about e-discovery trends and the 2017 amendments and to celebrate. ACEDS thanks our platinum affiliate, Exterro, for its stewardship of eDiscovery Day,” said Mary Mack, Executive Director of ACEDS.
